Qualifications
i) UK Chief Engineer Unlimited and Transport Canada First Class Engineer Motorship and First Class Engineer Steamship - all CoCs obtained after passing necessary examinations in England and also in Canada.
ii) Degree level Aircraft Engineering qualification attained after passing examinations in the Maintenance of Aero Engines and Airframes. Presently Fellow of the Aeronautical Society of India (F.Ae.S.I.)

Experience
i) Thirty Eight years experience as Marine Engineer including 12 years as Second Engineer on board German ships (two product tankers fitted with Koengsberg Marine Gas Turbines) followed by 18 years as Chief Engneer on board foreign going OIl Tankers, Container Ships, Bulk Carriers, OBO, General Cargo, FSO and Passenger Ships propelled by various types and makes of Marine Diesel Engines (medium and slow speed upto 29,000 BHP) or Steam Turbines upto 2x30,000 SHP.
ii) Eight years experience as Aircraft Artificer including 3 years as Chief Aircraft Artificer in-charge of complete aero-engines and airframe maintenance of a fleet of aircraft and helicopters constituting Naval Air Squadron and 2 years as Senior Instructor in Indian Navy and 3 years as Tutorial Advisor, Consultant and Examiner of papers in Aircraft Engineering with BIET (India) Pvt. Ltd.

Courses / Training undergone
1. Four-year Engine Room Artificer (Fitter and Turner) appernticeship at INS Shivaji, Lonavla, India with Indian Navy & twenty months duration Aircraft Artificer Conversion Course with Royal Navy in U.K.
3. All STCW 95 requirement Courses undergone in India and then again undergone Transport Canada A1, A2, B1, B2, C/D and Propulsion Plant Simulator Level 2 courses at BCIT, Vancouver, BC, Canada.
4. Oil Tanker Safety Course (including IGS & COW) and Chemical Tanker Safety Course at Bombay followed by PSSR course at New Delhi, India.
5. Instructional Technique Course with Indian Navy in India.
6. Attended Organisational Development Programme Level 1, 2 &3 at Singapore during year 2002/2003.
7. Security Petrol CGSB Standard BST1 & BST2 Courses and OFA Level 2 Course at Vancouver BC, Canada.

Proficiency in Languages : Ability to speak, read and write fluently English, German and Hindi and to speak only Punjabi.
